History of ALLAINE

In 1954, André ALLAINE founded ALLAINE S.A. which at that time was specialised in precision mechanics and machine tools.

The plastics division of ALLAINE S.A.S. was set up in 1976.
This division set up by Hervé ALLAINE, the company’s current Chairman, started with a vertical press made by BILLON and a patented part called the “Ski Bat”.
This part was used to keep skis and poles together. 700,000 models were sold including 200,000 to Japan. Hervé ALLAINE then sold his patent to SALOMON, allowing him to invest in the fabrication of other technical products for clients including VALEO, Camping Gas and others.

At the beginning of the 1980s, the company started to produce casings for video cassette copiers. In 1987, a new technical manager joined the company, bringing with him his own technical creations in the building sector, notably the screw jack pedestal. This led the company in a new direction.

In 1990, the company, based at Vaulx-en-Velin, moved to new premises in MIRIBEL in Ain (01). This was an important step for the company which then began producing Compact Disc units and casings.

2010 was another important year for the company which began the production of Blu-Ray units. It has since enriched its working team and developed two major directions:
. Construction products: screw jack pedestals, plant troughs, etc.
. Multimedia products: casings for CD, DVD, and Blu Ray, and CD trays.

Since 2011, the company has devised an international development strategy for its range of screw jack pedestals for terraces to win new markets. This policy has led to the rapid development of new partnerships with local actors in Northern Europe, Spain, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.
The company has also focused on developing products that complement its existing range for building.
